Curious Kitten Freed From Cessnock Wall Cavity Cessnock District Rescue Squad

A kitten discovered in a tiny wall cavity in Cessnock's CBD has been saved after a delicate rescue operation.

Cessnock District Rescue Squad were called after the cat was found in a gap measuring between 6cm and 8cm wide in the city's CBD yesterday afternoon, however the team were initially unable to get the furball to safety due to several pieces of jagged mortar in the way.

Crews returned last night and thankfully managed to coax the kitten to safety using rescue poles.
